Sypnosis: Noah Locke, a veteran of World War II, returns home at the end of the war to find that his parents have died, his brother's been imprisoned and the family farm has been sold. Feeling lost in the world, Noah wanders the rural roads of North Carolina in search of a place to call home. When a mysterious stranger leads him to a small mountain community, he meets and befriends a young widow. The two lonely souls develop a strong attraction for one another and forge a close bond. But when tragedy strikes the community, Noah must decide if he truly belongs in the Valley of Light.
