Monroe: From a Scottish surname meaning “the mouth of the Roe” in Gaelic. The Roe is a river in Ireland.

Jackson: The boy’s name Jackson is pronounced JASK-son. It is of Old English origin, and its meaning is “son of Jack”.

Rathbone: Probably a habitational name from Radbourn in Warwickshire or Radbourne in Derbyshire, both of which get their names from Old English hreod ‘reeds’ (a collective singular) + burna ‘stream’.
