There some was controversy surrounding Jackson being cast as Jasper Hale in the Twilight film, however over several weeks, people began to warm up to him as Jasper. Why do you think Jackson is perfect for the role of Jasper Hale?

• Obviously Jackson is perfect for the role of Jasper. In the books Jasper was my favorite character, hands down. When Jackson was announced as Jasper, I was already happy. I’d seen him in The OC, and I saw how much of an amazing actor he really is. Jackson seems like the type of guy who really gets into a role, and gives it his all. I already know Jackson’s going to be an amazing Jasper. =] – John

• I’m a huge Jasper girl. I always loved him because he was intelligent, calm, sweet, wise, and he’s been through so much. To me he the man of Twilight besides Carlisle. So being a huge Jackson fan I was stoked to find out he was going to play him. Because I always thought Jackson was an ‘old soul’ and he’s intense, plus he really looks people in the eyes and can be intense. I just think he’s perfect to portray the spirit of Jasper. • When reading the book Stephenie portrays Jasper as a Calm being, but holds and inner demon inside him who rages for blood. When you look at Jackson you see a Calm being and you can realize that he could easily portray someone who has an inner demon in him that he is battling to overcome. – Niki

• Jackson takes his roles seriously and he does a good job, his portrayals are always one of a kind. Jasper was my favorite character in the books, I think Jackson can do a lot with the role, he’s perfect. His enthusiasm and impressive acting abilities will only add to the imaginative construction of Stephanie Meyer’s Jasper Hale he’s ideal for the part. – Ann-Alicia
