A very lucky fan, Theresa sent in her encounter story about meeting Jackson, Ben G, Ben J and Jerad during the Spencer Legacy Show. You can read the awesome story below! A week or so before the spencer bell show i sat down and crocheted 4 hats, one for each of the guys in 100 Monkeys.  Its what i do when i get bored.  Crotchet i mean.  So anyway.  I made these hats, and shoved them in my bookbag and hopped on a plane from Jacksonville Florida.  The show was awesome, and all through it i’m trying to figure out how i am going to give them these hats since the merch girls that work at Callahans told us that they wernt going to be doing meet and greet time like they do in LA.  So i’m comming up with random ideas like tossing them on the stage at them and other silly ideas.  All obviously got ruled out.  Finally my mom says “why dont you go talk to the guy that has been announcing the bands.”  What a great idea she had.  So i ask him how i would go about giving something to the guys and he says talk to Mr. Bell.  So i talked to him and he tells me he will see what he can do.  So the improv set closes and its time to go.  My mom and i are strolling around and I’m beginning to think that i will just give them to them in LA or something, next time i go out there.  So she goes over and asks Mr. Bell where we can wait to see if I will be able to give the hats to the guys.  He totally forgot with so much going on, which is understandable, but he had us sit at this table..and a couple minutes later Chris from Tin Tin Can came over and asked who had the knit hats.  And I said i did, so he said Okay, follow me.  So mom and i went back and he had us wait outside the offices that they were in that doubled as a backstage area.  And then he came back a couple minutes later and we went in.  On the way in, one of the guys said “she made us something?  What is it?”  and someone else said “She made us hats.”  So when i got into the back room with them Jerad looked at me and said “You really made us hats?”  and i stood there looking at all 4 of them so lost, and just nodded my head.  So i took them out one by one, and handed them to each of the guys, Jerad’s black, Ben J’s brown, Jackson’s gray, and Ben G’s blue.  They said they loved them and actually stood around talkin to us for about 15 mins.  And i told them that I had actually been to two of their shows in LA, and they were like WOW!?  So they did a picture with the hats on with my mom and I and random bits of paper for us then we let them be.

Daze director, Jeff Dean, posted a new blog on the Daze myspace regarding the status of the film and what the cast and crew has been up to since wrapping up. To read the blog, click here.  Here’s a snippet of it.

Jackson, Ben, Uncle Larry, Nshan are part of 100 monkeys (along with ben #2 and Jrad) a rock, folk, blues band that’s playing regularly at 24k lounge in Hollywood (owned by our very own miller and nshan) on Tuesday nights. They recently cut their first ep at our new artists consortium recording studio.

We’ve finally launched The Fanlistings approved fanlisting for the 100 Monkeys. Join today! Also, there is now a myspace for the site (even though I hate myspace) which you can add here.

Finally, if you’re attending the Salute To Twilight Convention this weekend in San Franscico, California (which I will be attending!), and would like to possibly meet up with other fans, we have a thread for this particular event in the forums which you access right here.

ShockTillYouDrop is reporting that a New Moon movie is slated for a 2009 December release.

It’s just a rumor at this point, but word was leaked on the internet that Summit Entertainment, who will be releasing a movie based on Stephenie Meyer’s #1 New York Times best-selling novel Twilight on December 12, has also optioned the movie rights to the second novel in the series, New Moon, with plans to adapt it for release in December ‘09.

The birthday party scene would definitely be great to see on the big screen especially since Jackson has stated to looking forward to filming that scene. Also, Busted Daily ran into Kellan Lutz and they report the Twilight cast will be doing a shoot for Teen Vogue! So that’s Entertainment Weekly, VMan and now Teen Vogue the cast will appear in.

Daze director, Jeff Dean, posted some great images of the Daze cast at their wrap party. I’ve added the images with Jackson in it to the gallery. And yes, if you’re wondering, that is the same shirt he wore in Senior Skip Day, or at least to my knowledge!

I’m sure all of you have heard about the Twilight Calendar by now and have seen pictures/previews from it. Thankfully Borders supplied a nice little peek at what February would be and guess who’s in it? Why our lovely Jackson of course! If you take a look at Daze’s IMDB page and check out the release dates, one of the 2009 slots has The Sundance Film Festival next to it. Well I spoke to the director about this and submissions for Sundance don’t start until August, regardless, I hope everyone wishes the cast and crew luck!

Now for some Twilight related stuff. The Greetings From Twilight blog has been updated by Catherine and she’s included a great video with the cast speaking about the weather. Jackson doesn’t speak in it, but you can spot him twice. I’ve not only added captures to the gallery but also added the last Twilight Tuesday interview with Jackson and Ashley. I apologize for getting it uploaded so late! But the quality is great!

Also here’s some cool news! Touched By Twilight is holding a contest where the Twilighter who enters get to play Alice and plan Bella’s Bachelorette Party! The prize is one ticket to the NYC Breaking Dawn Concert at the Nokia Theater. They’re only giving away the ticket and no transportation/lodging will be provided period.

First and foremost, MovieHole.Net has posted an article about Jackson’s new movie, “Daze Vol. 2″. You can read about it at their site here. I have also posted it in the Press Archive. Also, someone who worked on the movie had this to say about Jackson’s performance from the movie on IMDB:

not only is he in the movie but he submitted an extremely memorable performance

Now I really can’t wait for the movie! And regarding release dates and whatnot, on the movie’s imdb page, it states that it will probably premiere at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival which should be exciting for everyone involved in the movie. Hopefully it’ll get picked up by a distributor there!

After some digging the last couple of days, Jackson will be portraying Jehosephat in the movie “Daze” like we reported here earlier. Here’s what the official site had to say about Jackson’s character:

Rich’s roommate Jehosephat, spends his day lounging around, popping in once in a while to spout nonsense and hanging out with his girlfriend Michelle while they discuss the inner workings of a relationship (Jehosephat is actually the projection of Rich’s voice that he wishes he could say and Michelle partially represents the way he sees Amy).

Sounds interesting right? Well duh. The official site can be found at DazeTheMovie.Com, the myspace is at Myspace.Com/Daze_the_Movie and we added the movie to Jackson’s filmography here. At the official site, there’s already a ton of images up from the movie, but none of Jackson. Hopefully the director will put some up!

Now for some other news. Pray For Morning will be hitting DVD shelves on July 22nd. Unlike before, this will be released in more places than before, AKA: wide DVD release. So it could end up at your local Best Buy. I’m not certain if the DVD will contain any special features.

I did some searching and apparently, Jackson is currently on location, in Los Angeles, for a new movie called “Daze” starring the ever so amusing and talented, Gary Busey. There really isn’t much information out about the movie yet, but according to the ad, the movie will finish filming somewhere around June 9-10. The director/writer is looking for an assistant, so if you’re interested, check out his ad. Here’s what he had to post about the movie though.

We need a personal assistant for the writer/director of the feature film “Daze” starring Gary Busey and a host of young, up and coming talent (including Jackson Rathbone, Kyrie Maezumi, Alisa Reyes and AJ Lamas). . .
