Thanks to both Christie and Lisa for sending in their photos from the Beat Kitchen show in Chicago, IL! Check out all their photos in the gallery. Thanks ladies!
Here’s a little blurb Lisa wrote about the show. She’ll be sending in her review from it soon, so expect an updated edit with it here.
The show was awesome! It was my first 100 Monkeys show, and it was an amazing experience! The guys rocked, they brought their all. It was a fun wonderful experience, and I was able to chat with Marty & Ben Graupner and talk a little to Braden Bell too =)
EDIT: Here’s her full review! Thanks Lisa!
We luckily got to wait for things inside which was nice since it was SO COLD!!! The show was absolutely amazing! We got to be in the front! Tin Tin Can is a great band I’m so excited I was able to see them perform. Those guys really are awesome playing those instruments. They were phenomenal, check them out if you haven’t =) Chicago band and also one of the guys knew Spencer Bell and was in Stevedores too! So then The 100 Monkeys came on. Marty came on stage first and brought the guys up and they just totally rocked it!! Their passion for the music shows through, they put on a great performance with high energy! This was Uncle Larry’s hometown so there were some funny remarks about that, hehehe. Chicago improv was funny, Jackson is such a corndog though =P
It was great they did an encore because I didn’t want it to be over, but it was REALLY hot in there and the guys were sweating after the first song. So it ended and we hung around a little. I had made a Mix CD and I gave it to BenJ inside then when we went outside. Got to talk with Marty, Braden Bell and then talked and got a picture with BenG =) They are all such sweeties and nice guys. It was an awesome night!
And it was a FULL HOUSE! The guys had a big crowd to perform too which was great!!
And check out Demarice’s videos from the show as well!

one of the best show’s i’ve been to in a long time, they put on an energetic set and i was pretty suprised. jackson reminds me of my friend tyler when he’s on stage, just this ball of energy, it’s infectious.

was the greatest show ive ever been to can’t wait for them to come back
I have to say, despite having to leave early, that was an AMAZING show. I honestly don’t think that band gets enough credit for their musical talent & their albums don’t do them justice. They are def. a band you need to see live to really appreciate. can’t wait until they come back so I can see them again
