The lovely Deb sent this information in about the upcoming Spencer Bell Legacy Show in Texas.

100 Monkeys is playing a tribute for their lost friend Spencer Bell in Dallas, TX on April 24th, 2010.  The Spencer Bell Legacy concert will consist of two performances that will take place at Trees; an afternoon all ages and evening 18+.  They will be joining their friends The Stevedores, Drew and the Medicinal Pen, and Tin Tin Can to raise awareness for adrenal cancer and celebrate the life and music of Spencer Bell.  New bands Evro and The Kissing Club will join them for their first Spencer Bell Legacy Concert performances.  But not only will fans be able to enjoy the concert, they can enter into special contests with prizes that include meeting the band and showing off their artistic abilities at the concert itself.  Included in the contests are a music video contest, a t-shirt design contest, a raffle with celebrity donated items, and a special auction.

The winner of the music video contest will have their video played through out the concerts.  The winner of the t-shirt design contest will have their designed produced and sold through the Spencer Bell Legacy Project. All details of the contests can be found at www.asccnow.com.

The auction will consist of three special prizes.  People can bid on the opportunity to interview the bands prior to the concerts on live streaming internet, dinner with the bands between the concerts, or a meet and greet with all the bands in a special VIP area.  The raffle includes items such as a guitar signed by Bowling for Soup, autographed pictures from Simple Plan, a special designed t-shirt by Kelly Rathbone, and autographed portraits of the bands.  Winners of the raffle need not be present to win and the tickets will go on presale on January 15th, 2010.  Details for ordering tickets can be found on the Artists Supporting a Cure for Cancer Website www.asccnow.com as well.

People interested in learning more about Spencer Bell (including his music and poetry) can find the information at www.spencerbellmemorial.com

Hey – have a question for 100 Monkeys and their upcoming performance at the Spencer Bell Legacy Concert —

check out Portrait Magazine
http://www.portraitmagazine.net/

They will be running a feature article on the Legacy Concert and 100 Monkeys involvement in an upcoming issue – and they’re asking for questions from the readers.

Just to note those who purchase their Legacy concert tickets by January 31, 2010 will be entered in a drawing for balcony seats. And those not able to attend can still participate in the contests and raffles.

So have a question? Now’s your time to ask!
