Short, but cute quote from Jackson.

Now, with the impending release of the Twilight sequel New Moon (opening across North America on Nov. 20), the young cast who make up its motley crew of bloodsuckers, werewolves and victims both willing and unwilling are preparing for even more international exposure.

But, as co-star Jackson Rathbone tells Metro, sometimes the spotlight can be scary.

“During the filming of New Moon, I decided to go across the street from my hotel and get a coffee,” says Rathbone, who reprises his role as the gentle, adoptive undead brother of actor Robert Pattinon’s lead vamp Edward Cullen.

“Suddenly I was cornered by a half dozen paparazzi, then a massive wave of fans came over and demanded autographs. Then, out of nowhere, without saying a word, a woman hands me her two-year-old kid and starts snapping pictures. Here I am looking at this kid and he’s looking at me and neither of us know what’s going on. I felt like chum at a feeding frenzy.”

A “massive wave” of fans “demanding” autographs? What crap! Screw you Metro rag Toronto so-called newspaper(aka source). Liars!

Comment by Aly R on Nov. 9, 2009

That sounds awful….

Geez…I don’t think Jackson would have said something like that though, RMH. You’re right…

Comment by ujiek on Nov. 9, 2009

I think he just got us weeklied again :D Doesn’t really sound like Jackson – though that baby thin he actually told in some convetion – dunno which one just saw some video clip of it.

Comment by Jgirl on Nov. 9, 2009

Yes, he’s told the story of the baby being thrown into his arms, but he had a great sense of humor when he told it. I agree that this doesn’t quite sound like Jax. He NEVER says anything in a complaining manner about his fans. If he says something he thinks could be taken that way, he adds how grateful he is for his fans. Just didn’t have the same feel as most of his quotes. I think they probably amended his words a bit at the very least.

Comment by Gel on Nov. 9, 2009

Pretty sure he was either a: taken out of context or b: joking. We all know anyway he loves his fans. ;)

I dont think that he said that about his fans. hey Please dont change the words that he said!!

Comment by AD on Nov. 9, 2009

I think the article is a fake too. It just doesn’t sound like him. Also I understand everyone hating on the paps and tabloid but let’s be real here he and the rest of the cast made the choice to be actors. Some (like Kristen Stewart) even grew in the industry and knew what it was like and still decided to be one. Now mind you that doesn’t mean I agree with the over aggressive ones. But in the end they all made the choice to live this life and if they don’t like it then they should just leave. Or shut up about it. Of course this is only my opinoion you are more than welcome to yours.
