I also added additional images of Jackson signing for fans at the New Moon afterparty. Enjoy!
Thanks to the lovely, Doro, she sent in a scan of Jackson from the latest issue of One Magazine. She even translated the interview for us! So check it out below and be sure to thank her for translating it!
As discrete as he seems to be on screen, Jackson Rathbone is in real life, as well. Besides the Twilight Saga the portrayer of Jasper Cullen will soon bring himself into notice with other roles, such as in the next film of Night Shaymalan The Last Airbender and, of course, his band 100 Monkeys who work on their first album.
One: Excluding the scene when you attack Bella your character barely appears in New Moon.
Jackson Rathbone: That’s true, but it’s defaulted by the book. Jasper is not very on the spot, but I’ve known that before. But for the third part, Eclipse, it’s different, I’ll have to get on a move for that…(laughs)
A new Banana Vision video from the band (taken during the El Cid gig) has been posted at their official youtube. You can check it out below! Cap from the vid will be up soon.
The lovely gals of Vision (who are also featured in the first Banana Vision!) recently attended the 100 Monkeys show at the Viper Room a few days ago and posted a fantastic review over on their blog.
It was an afternoon show and we arrived to The Viper Room about 2 hours prior to the show. We have to also mention that this was our first time to The Viper Room. Being from New Jersey originally, this was even a special treat for us! C’mon, The Viper Room? It’s legendary! We have to admit though, it was this next part of the day that was the best experience at a 100 Monkeys show we have ever seen so far! As we sat there on a little cement partition by the back lot to the club to wait, a little blue car pulls up to the lot very casually. For some reason we are glancing at it and it’s like we are dreaming because there inside the car by himself is a super cool good looking dude in a hat and sunglasses. He just stops the car momentarily and seems to look at us. The guy looks strangely familiar, but in this fast moment the brain is not working properly. Then he smiles, and it all comes together! Not everyone has a smile like Jackson Rathbone, but when you see it, you know! WOW!! It’s Jackson! It’s Jackson! The mind screams! He just pulls right into a spot in the parking lot like 10 feet away and gets out of the little blue car and in full jackson gear, hat, sunglasses, jacket, cowboy boots, he just casually waves to everyone passing right by and goes into the club! Like he was just a regular guy who had a ticket! We were blown away! This was just one day from The New Moon premiere and Jackson couldn’t be more grounded and friendly. So normal. It was like a dream! If we didn’t like him enough already, we really liked him now! So cool!
They also gave permission to let us post a few of their photos on the site. The rest, you can check out via their blog. So be sure to add and comment them!
Shock Til You Drop posted their “Dread” on set report. Here’s the part where they speak to Jackson. You can view the rest via the link behind the cut.
“Stephen pretty much doesn’t have any real friends,” picks up Rathbone. “He’s wrapped up in his brother’s death which happened when he was 15, it’s still one of those things that always eats on him. He’s made a documentary about it and he got past that phase of the dark side of it and tried to look into the light and he’s coasting through. He doesn’t really know what he wants to do. Then comes along Quaid. We go through a lot of these things where Quaid puts Stephen in a situation that has a dark element to it that’s kind of just so enticing and that’s what our film is about in lot of ways, it’s like going to the dark to see the light.”
“Touching the beast,” as Barker puts it in the story, I say.
