Don’t forget to tune into MTV tonight to catch an exclusive clip from “New Moon“. Stills from the clip were revealed yesterday here, and it looks like we’ll be getting our birthday scene. So expect caps from it later tonight.
Also, here’s Another video from MTV! Much thanks to Green for it!
The New Moon cast reveals their true life ghost stories.
Jackson’s co-star, Kellan Lutz, was recently interviewed by Vanity Fair and he even mentions Jackson in a few questions!
What books have your cast members recommended to you that you would recommend to others?
[Addressing Jackson Rathbone, who is also in the room:] Jackson, what’s that book that you recommended? Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis, which I’m going to read next. Jackson’s reading my Kindle right now; I’m passing along Letters from the Earth.
So, before you go, let’s do some wordplay. I’m going to give you the name of one of your fellow actors, and I need you to give me one word to describe them, starting with Jackson Rathbone [“Jasper Hale”].
Ah, mysterious.
Kellan actually mentions Jackson a few more times in the interview, which you can read here.
You guessed it, a review by the always amazing Theresa! She never fails with these reviews! Check it out below and take a look in the gallery for her gorgeous photos from the show! And as usual, please do not archive without permission first!
It was a dark, cold, rainy night in Downtown Vancouver. Hundreds of women, and a handful of men gathered outside an amazing little place on Granville called Venue.
What were they lined up for? You ask.
To see the 100 Monkeys for their last show in Vancity of course!
Okay, so maybe it wasn’t hundreds of women and men when the doors opened. But once the first band got to rockin the stage of Venue, there were a couple and a few hundred people on the floor and in the balconies to check out The Bleeding Horse Express and our favorite band of primates.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I looked at Venue from the outside. To one wandering down Granville, you see an old rundown theatre, with the potential to be so much more. When you walk in the door, you see what it has become.
The New Moon cast discusses fans dressing up as Twilight characters for Halloween.
Cast members Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser and Twilight” merchandise. What they own, or don’t own. What they’ve taken from the set. What they’d like to have. Think of it as a short preview for the main event to come tomorrow night, when “Ulalume” airs on MTV at 9pm ET/PT.
The awesome Shanti has sent in this amazing 100 Monkeys review from the Venue gig! To go along with the review, Shanti’s friend, Michelle, took some stellar photos from gig which are now in the gallery! Please do not archive/re-post without permission first, thank you!
Also, thanks to Theresa and Amy, you can find some photos from the Venue and Neptoon Records gigs here and here.
We’ve been spoiled here in Vancouver these past two months. 100 Monkeys, consisting of Jackson Rathbone, Ben Graupner, Jerad Anderson (sporting a brand new mohawk), Ben Johnson, and Uncle Larry, played a farewell show for Vancouver on Oct 25th, their 4th show here in the past 2 months. And what a farewell it was!
Held at the Venue, a newly revamped nightclub, energy and anticipation were high. Local band Bleeding Hearts Express started the evening, playing a rousing set that mixed rock, blues, and big band. And then, finally, it was MONKEY TIME!
The band bounded onto the stage as the LED screen behind them flashed 100 Monkeys, and the crowd went wild, cheers turning into laughter as Uncle Larry was escorted onto stage in a full length mink coat by 2 scantily clad women. The boys took their places and started off with a resounding rendition of “Orson Brawl”. One of the unique things about 100 Monkeys is that each member takes turns on every instrument, switching it up on every song.
Like the title reads, the 100 Monkeys have announced the 20 City Contest winners for their 100 City tour! Congrats to the cities that won! Here’s a list of the 20 Cities.
Atlanta, Birmingham, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Houston, Indianapolis, Louisville, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Orlando, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, Raleigh, Sacramento, Seattle and St. Louis!
Yay, another article with Jackson. I’ll have screencaps and a video streaming in the media center soon. Screencaps are now in the gallery and also streaming in the Media Center thanks to Green!
As filming wraps this week on “Eclipse,” and “New Moon” is mere weeks away from invading theaters nationwide, we are pleased to report that Jackson Rathbone is alive and well. A few vampire scuffles in Vancouver can’t take down the immortal Jasper Hale.
Recently, we caught up with the actor/ 100 Monkeys frontman to talk about what might be his final days as Stephenie Meyer’s endearing Confederate vampire. The fan fave was eager to talk about jamming with Robert Pattinson, exploring Jasper’s backstory in “Eclipse,” and setting his own face on fire.
MTV: Out of the new characters joining the franchise for “New Moon,” which is your favorite?
Jackson Rathbone: My favorite character in “New Moon” that wasn’t in “Twilight”? I guess my favorite character in “New Moon” is a collective — the Volturi. It’s one of those things that’s really nice to see, these decadent older vampires that run this vampire society, if you will. I think they’re an amazing group of actors that we were able to get for the film, and they are very scary and intimidating. They’re all perfect — I mean, Dakota Fanning is a terrifying Jane; absolutely terrifying.
Here’s another adorable story from the Deliciously Yours Cakes ladies. Check the link for the full report and images of the quiches and cupcakes!
Now, we’ve been tweeting like crazy about quiche which I’m sure have got all of you wondering. Before the night ended at the last event we catered for these guys, we wanted to make sure we had a moment to chat with Jackson to thank him for the incredible opportunity and also ensure that he had eaten some cupcakes or atleast taken a take out box full of them to enjoy later that night. To our surprise, he told us he doesn’t even have a sweet tooth! We were absolutely shocked because of course as a cake business, you totally want to impress your potential clients and hear feedback about your work and his kind act just reaffirmed that there are some truly genuine people out there that believe in your work and want you to succeed.
So as an even huger thank you, Deliciously Yours Cakes did something we absolutely NEVER do, we made mini quiche especially for Jackson so that he could have something to enjoy while others had cupcakes. Sara cooked up the quiche that included bacon, cheese and mushrooms and those went very quick, not only by Jackson but the rest of the bands up there too!
