And the amazing month continues to get more awesome(r). Thanks once again to Radar Online, we now have new outtakes of just Jackson from the VMan shoot he did awhile back with a few of his co-stars.
What a lucky month for us Jackson fans, it seems that Jackson is featured in the latest issue of Inked Mag! The article has been posted on their site, and it includes an awesome new shoot of Jackson!

The blood-sucking vampire from Twilight on wanting more tattoos, causing trouble in boarding school, and dealing with rabid groupies
INKED: Let’s talk tattoos. How many do you have? JACKSON RATHBONE: I only have one right now, but I definitely plan on getting more. My friends and I were kind of the bad kids in school, the troublemakers. We went to Interlochen Arts Academy, this really great boarding school in Michigan, and there were six of us who were always acting out against authority. The school administration was like, “Stay away from those boys-they’re ‘Lost Boys,’” so that’s what everyone called us. When I was 18, I got a tattoo that says, “I’m lost.”
What kind of shenanigans did you guys get into?
Remember the prohibition era? It was kind of like that.
Thanks to the awesome director of Dread, Anthony DiBlasi, for letting us know about this. Dread will be having a special screening opened up to fans in Los Angeles on May 5th! So if you’re located in the LA area, or hell in California, make sure you attend the screening of the film to see Jackson in action! No details yet on where it’s located or the time, but Anthony will be making a special announcement via ShockTilYouDrop.Com to let y’all know more about this! As soon as the details are released, we’ll let you guys know about it!
Also, if you haven’t heard about it already, Twilight Series Theories will be interviewing Jackson and would like some questions from the fans! To submit your question, drop by their site here to submit your question!
First off, I’d really like to thank Emily and especially Theresa for their contributions for today’s post! If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be able to update y’all on the shows from the past couple of days!
To start it off, images taken by both girls (THANKS AGAIN :-*) have been added to the gallery. Make sure to check em’ out, you definitely don’t wanna miss them!
Finally, here’s Theresa’s review (and videos too!) from two of the shows in Vancouver. The one at Neptoon Records and the all ages Rio Theatre show. You can also find Emily’s video from Tuesday’s show behind the cut as well. Enjoy!
Neptoon’s was awesome! They did I’m pretty sure 6 songs. They opened with Arizona, which sounded amazing. Jackson and Ben G explained that Arizona was based on a true story. They didn’t go into any more detail as to whose woman took their money and went to Arizona. But that’s was some really cool background. Then they did Looker, and Jackson showed us his mad multitasking skills while strumming a bass and playing the little xylophone. (I think that’s what it was). I really do love that song. After those two, the order is a little confusing for me. I know they played Poison Oak (which I have no footage of ), Smoke, in which Ben J showed his amazing vocal talent after a little joking from Jackson, somewhere in there I’m pretty sure they played Wing On Fire, and the closed it all out with Orson Brawl (which I will be uploading shortly.) where Jackson introduced the band, Ben G on keyboard, Jerad on guitar, the amazing Ben J on drums, himself, Scott (Poor scott all crammed in a little corner doin the sound, then Marty (who was trying to make a mad dash to the exit) and Kristina (pardon my spelling if that’s not correct), which is Jerad’s wife, who Jackson introduced as “the band wife.”
Thanks to Faran of Nylon Magazine for the heads up, Jackson’s article/interview with the magazine has now been posted on their site. I’ve added a snippet from it to the post. You can also check out the pictures from the shoot at the site as well. They’ve also been placed into the gallery.
The Twilight actor plays a song for us on piano. We like him.
The adage that you can tell a lot about someone by their shoes seems true of Jackson Rathbone, who is wearing brown leather cowboy boots flecked with yellow paint. He spent many of his formative years in Texas, and talking to him, it becomes clear that he would describe himself as an artist before he would just call himself an actor.
Rathbone started acting in high school when he attended Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, and moved from set and lighting design to a spot in front of the curtain. “When I started being onstage, I fell in love with it,” he says. Although he is now best known as Jasper Hale in Twilight, and is currently filming M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, what Rathbone seems most excited to talk about right now is his band, 100 Monkeys.
First off, thanks to Vancity Allie, we now have images of Jackson from on set of New Moon. Images are up in the gallery, here’s a snippet from her encounter. Make sure to check out the link to read the whole thing and see images of the other cast members including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene and Peter Facinelli!
Soon another van pulled out and Jackson got out! He also wanted to thank us for hanging out for so long and he also gave Amy a big hug. Mandy let him know they were at the concert on Tuesday and Jackson seemed stoked about that and mentioned the other shows coming up.
The awesome and lovely Theresa attended both the Rio and Neptoon show. She’s uploaded videos from the show on the 18th. You can watch all of them below! Make sure to check out the “Smoke” video to hear Benny J sing!
If you attended any shows recently, we’re also looking to hear your stories. Feel free to use the contact form to let us know about your 100 Monkeys show experience.
Jackson is currently featured in Nylon Magazine’s May 2009 issue (also known as the Young Hollywood issue) and he was chosen as one of the 45 stars of the next generation! Anyone else love the recognition he’s finally getting? Others included in this list are Dev Patel , Tom Sturridge and Zoe Kravitz.
Thanks to livejournal users Jaune and Vanagan, we have some scans from the issue. I will be picking up my own soon to get a larger scan of Jackson’s parts in the issue! Check out the young picture of him though, adorable don’t you guys think?
Taking a night off of filming, members of the cast of “New Moon” were spotted out in Vancouver, British Columbia last night (April 14) for a very special concert.
Kristen Stewart, Nikki Reed, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, and Peter Facinelli all showed up to see their castmate Jackson Rathbone and his band 100 Monkeys play a live concert.
So glad to see his fellow co-stars come out to see 100 Monkeys play their first gig in Canada. Love it! Also, here are a few reviews/posts up from last night’s show! Make sure to check them all out:
As many of you have noticed already, we have a new amazing look here at JR Online thanks to the wonderfully talented Tran of Transfixx Productions! I hope y’all enjoy the new look!
The new layout change comes on the day of the site’s 1 year anniversary. It’s been a year since we launched the site, and I really want to thank you all for visiting the site, it’s truly appreciated. And to reminisce, here’s some memorable posts within the last year!
Jackson, along with New Moon co-stars Nikki Reed and Robert Pattinson, helped celebrate Kristen Stewart’s 19th birthday last week. An image from it has been added. You can also watch a video of them leaving below.
